Whitney- The Way I Want to remember her

I was numb at the news that one of the greatest singers of our time, Whitney Houston had passed. Similar to my views about the late, great talent that was Amy Winehouse, I had hoped that Whitney would be able to overcome her demons and take control of her life. However, this was not to be. Instead of dwelling on her misfortunes and descent into a life filled with drug addition. I only want to remember and shed light on her successes, her music and the immense talent that she possessed.

This week, I have read the tweets of many individuals who have passed judgement on Whitney for her addiction. Although, this was not at all a highlight of her career. We must first remember that she was only a human being. Unless you yourself have had to overcome any form of addiction. How can you comment.

It is too easy to judge people when you haven't actually walked a mile in their shoes. I do not believe for a second that anyone would want to destroy their own life. They made a mistake, ventured onto the wrong path and then had to pay the ultimate price.

I loved Whitney and the music that she has left behind will ensure her legend lives on.

Fashion, Fashion and more Fashion!

I did say I would blog a whole lot more, but I am always so tired! Last year was modelling, modelling, magazine, magazine, and oh, wait, more magazine!

2012 has been a major year so far in terms of expanding In-spireLS. My main focus has been to expand and grow the fashion section and this has been going brilliantly.

So far, In-spireLS have joined forces with major UK fashion brands including; Boohoo.com and Reiss. We are also soon to be joining forces with an excellent UK PR firm to line up some major fashion giveways from the very well known brand 'House of Dereon' so make sure you stop by on the magazine to keep up with our amazing competition offers.

The past few weekends have been hectic. My team and I have attended a number of fashion events including Pure London and the Scoop International Fashion Show at Saatchi Gallery. Today, I attended the 'Good Fashion Show' at London House. Ethical clothing is quite quickly becoming very popular within the fashion industry and over up and coming issues of In-spireLS, I will be writing in depth reviews and conducting interviews with some of the best up and coming designers as well as showcasing established brands within the magazine.

The best part of attending fashion events is the fact that you get the opportunity to dress up and look hot! I was absolutely in love with my outfit of choice today so I got my friend and PR katie to take a picture. :)

Muesli: The Benefits

The new year has for me been a major success in many ways, I have finally focused my mind on my goals and objectives for the year, after a little diversion, rid my thoughts of negativity and really put into perspective what I want to achieve over the next 12 months.

2011 was a mad year, filled with shoots, portfollio building, video recording, magazine building (You get the picture). This year is different though, my plans have become more centred and with it so has my relationship with food.

I have never had a negative body image. In fact, I don't really have hang -ups because I am quite confident in my abilities to fix them. However, I am a very greedy person, and given the option to eat out, last year I would have said yes, yes and more yes!

2012 however, for me meant that I wanted to adopt a more healthy approach to eating and after completing a successful week of detoxing, I decided to go back to eating one of my favourite snacks, Muesli.

Muesli really is an accquired taste. However, if you stick with it, the benefits are overwhelming.

I have been following a prettty strict regime with my exercise, something I will share at a later date. Combined with fitness I have been eating wholemeal toast with sesame seeds and fruit spread or muesli with organic bio yogurt. The yogurt by Yeo Valley is a natural bio yogurt which has a slight sour taste but is virtually low in fat and being organic doesn't have all of those pesticides and man made chemicals tainting its natural flavour.

The overal benefits and overall positives of eating muesli are vast; here are just a few:

Filling easy for the body to digest
Can be eaten with bio yogurt, milk (preferably semi skimmed or skimmed) or soya milk.
Muesli is made of wholewheat and grain which is high in fibre and beneficial to the heart.
Low in fat and sugar which means it compliments a healthy eating plan or diet both effectively and efficiently.

Since eating muesli for breakfast will help you to stay filled enough till lunch time and will help you to keep away from unsavoury snacks!

Stephen Lawrence and the effect to my unborn child.. Read on..

The Stephen Lawrence case for any person, no matter their colour was a significant time in many of our lives. When Stephen was murdered, I was just 8 years old. Like many children my age, the full effect of his death and the reasons behind it were hard to comprehend but I have come to find that all these years later, his death has led me to think of where I am living and whether I want to bring a child into this world.

A rather controversial statement you may think but it was after a conversation with my mother, that I realised that I am actually extremely deterred by the world my child will have to live in. My mother sat next to me as we watched the 10 o'clock news, taking in the verdicts and making sense of the 18 years it had taken to hear the words 'Guilty'.

My mother then turned to me and simply stared. I didn't actually know at first what she was looking at me over, but after a few minutes she said ' They would have stabbed you, taken you from me. Just because you were black. Her words struck a cord in me. The reason Stephen was no longer here was soley because of the colour of his skin. The fact that he contributed to society in a positive way was not looked at, nor was the fact that he was a straight A student. He was black and that was enough reason to lose his life.

This got me thinking. I plan to start a family at one point or another. But, am I really prepared for the world in which my child will be entering into. Watching the Lawrence family, it was clear that when their child was killed, they too, had died also. They were existing, simply fighting on to gain justice.. Life as they had previously known it was over, their lives would never be the same again. That was the saddest thing, watching them, outside the courts.

Your child can die in many ways. I am not suggesting that my child would be in direct danger of coming under attack due to the colour of their skin. However, I am finding the world is becoming more and more tension filled. When I was younger, all of these things happened to other people, they did not and could not happen to me. But the older I get, the more closer it feels it is coming towards me.

Is is wrong that I doubt whether I want to be a mother, just based on the sheer fact that I do not want to have to protect them from the dangers of my world. The struggle to protect myself seems hard enough. But to worry daily for child, not knowing what will come of them is a scary prospect.

The death of a child is something I can only imagine to be a pain so deep that recovery is impossible. The Stephen Lawrence verdict only brought my insecurities to the surface once more. Another worry that I will have to address.

Happy New Year to each and everyone of you who stop my on my many sites including my new look blog!
We are only into the new year by one day but I wanted to ensure that the day was as productive as possible.
Most of my 'productivity' means going onto TWITTER and doing what I like to call a little round of 'retweeting' especially anything that is promptly @ed at me!

So it wasn't a shock to my system to find out that I had actually been put in a great poll on the popular blog site Brown-eyez.com. I had the pleasure of meeting with the gorgeous creator of this blog at last year's Beffta Awards and it was a major surprise for me to learn that her blog had not been nominated within the 'Best Blog' category, though saying that, I am pretty adamant that this year she will gain more recognition and acknowledgement.

The poll asks readers to vote for their 'Woman of the Year'. I am really thankful to be mentioned on this poll because within this poll is some of the most hardworking women within the entertainment and media industry and with many of them, I feel I have a little while to go before I mount their heights. More than anything, it brings me joy when other women recognise the achievements of their fellow women and celebrate them for all they have achieved thus far. What really is better than that?

Beyonce - Role Model?? Why not?

I love Beyonce, not because I crave a role model, not because I need one, but because I admire her drive, her passion, her commitment and more vitally her voice.

I do feel however, that too many women take her lyrics and those of her group 'Destiny's Child way too seriously. What kind of society looks to others to be their role model when really, if the truth be told, when it comes to leadership in their lives, it is ultimately and evidently down to them to live their lives in whatever way 'they' deem as appropriate.

There is so much fuss about her song lyrics which are 'supposed'to be derogatory to women. Songs including 'Cater 2 You' 'Dance For You' and many others, the list is endless.

Listen,

You need to be looking within yourself to do the right thing in your life. Enjoy artists for the music that they offer us, nothing more! It should be purely based on entertainment value. How they choose to live their lives should never be a direct reflection as to how you live yours. Teach yourselves how to be a woman, determine within yourself whether you believe in catering for your man or leaving him to fetch his own dinner!

Point is, its always so easy to look for others to be role models for ourselves, for our children and for our childrens children when really, it is our actions that will ultimately shape our destiny. No one elses. Case Closed.

Whoa FM Interview with DJ Chef

Last week I managed to fulfilled a commitment I was supposed to do weeks ago and that was to go onto the radio show of my great friend DJ Chef or @djchefuk on TWITTER. He has been doing his weekly show on Whoa 94.4 FM with his beautiful co-host @Aleashalondon so as we were winding down 2011 I had to make it my priority to get onto the show and when I found out that Ched would also be interviewing the beautiful Miss Amy Amy, winner of this years Miss Flavour 2011, I had to get down there.

I have done a few interviews on radio but I have to say that this was one of my favourites. There was just the right amount of questions being asked and I feel that I answered the questions pretty well, considering that I was absolutely knackered that night.

The main topic of discussion was how far I had come since winning Miss Flavour in 08. I for one cannot believe how fast time has flown. Entering this pageant was a great experience and I feel that the biggest thing that I took from it was a major boost in confidence. Nothing and I mean nothing beats walking on stage in a bikini in a room full of men, some pulling and your arms and many taking pictures with a seriously harsh flash! Either way, I had a great time and it was an experience which enabled me to realise that I want to achieve more.

This is probably why I launched my own magazine. Writing is number one to me and as much as it is nice to write for others. There is nothing better than writing for you own publication in a style that you have complete control and power over. That's what rocks!

I can also say that I was the first non celebrity to feature on the front cover of Flavour Magazine and to be honest my cover was serious. (Humility will not rear its head here!) well not on this subject anyway.

We managed to take a few pictures behind the scenes on the show. So here is a few for you to view. A special thank you goes to DJ Chef for having me on the show.

I sometimes become overwhelmed with how much I have achieved over the past year! I have been focused on getting my name back out there and believe me 2012 will be even more crazy... I will be putting out a series of e-books, finishing a much overdue course so I can become a fitness professional, more shoots, more writing and the expansion of my magazine.

Modelling this year was great, I got some great features and got to work on a number of really great assignments. To round the year off and wind down it only seemed right to update my blog with my latest promotional video.

Okay, it's been more than a hot minute that I have jumped on here but I was absolutely ecstatic to learn that the absolutely amazing Beyonce is soon to have her first child! She has been an in-spiration to so many women around the world and now she is at last going to take some time out to be a mother. I have no doubt in my mind that she will not only thrive in that role, but also pass her talents to her baby.

Jay-Z must be seriously over the moon because the rumours were flying around for ages that he wanted a child so it will hopefully make the family complete!

Good luck to Beyonce- she looked absolutely stunning in her Orange gown which complimented her growing bump superbly!!

Friday Flashback: Chris Brown 'Lottery'

With F.A.M.E absolutely dominating our charts at the moment, you sometimes forget just how serious Chris 'Breezy' Brown's LP Exclusive was. Over the past few days I have been revisiting the best tracks from this album. Though one always will stand out.

Thanks to my cuz @jokeyjay on TWITTER I was introduced to the single 'Lottery' and as far as I am concerned, it really was the stand out song on the album.

If a guy compared getting my number to winning the lottery It would be hard to say no...well actually it would depend on what he looks like!!

I'm Bak and OPINIONATED!!!

It's great to be back and It's even better to actually see that so many people are dropping by!! It wouldn't be right if I didn't share my opinion on the eagerly anticipated video by X-Factor Finalist Cher Lloyd.

It was a highly anticipated video that was supposedly going to shock us into believing that the Cheryl Cole look-a-like could actually come out with a début song that would demonstrate the talent she displayed JUST ONCE at her initial X-Factor audition.

My opinions.....

Not much to be honest... my reasons are as follows..

1) Swagger Jagger is not a really term and it seems that everyone is trying to be modern day wordsmith and adopt the skills of William Shakesphere which really isn't viable or possible.
2) I cannot work out what Cher actually has protruding off her head.... is it hair??
3) I have never like the 'Oh my darling Clementine song' and Cher has after all these years reminded me why it sucked the first time I heard it and the fact that it sucks even more this time is an understatement!
4) I can't see hardly any black people in the video and the dancers are as cool as the cast of High School Musical. :(
5) I respect Cher because she's young and striving I just wish the debut was better!!

My most revealing post yet!

I thought it was time for a blog, so much on my mind and with no where to release it, my fingertips turn to the one place where it feels most at home, on my notebook. The past few weeks have been a rollercoaster. I feel like I am being tested and thrown challenges from every direction. People I trusted and admired have thrown dirt in my face and for the first time in a very long time, I feel isolated and a tiny bit alone.

Having supported this person for a very long time, I always felt that even if we were put to the test or stepped over that invisible line that we would survive it. I was in their corner, shouting off the roof tops about how amazing they were, how talented they were and I believed deep down that they wouldn't use networking sites to indirectly attack me if things did go sour for a while.

However, today I awoke to indirects of all kinds. In one breath telling me all was okay but in the other making me feel small. Yet another friend joins the list of industry people who have for some reason or another taken the ultimate piss out of my good name. One in particular, a musician. How he took the ultimate piss by unfollowing me on twitter every other day. It was funny because I only wanted to get him to feature in my magazine but he had the nerve to smile in my face but then air me on Twitter. How it buns me to think that I believed this person was humble, was nice, but yet again, I have learned the hard way. It is good that this person now ignores me at all events because to be honest, I have no time for frauds like him.

Am I too trusting, one actor I used to talk to on a regular basis said I was. I now feel more guarded than ever. Holding a shield close to my chest, I wonder if anyone will get through it now. Sometimes your strength can be tested, you believe you are strong but with the constant attacks, you can begin to doubt yourself. I have been feeling very unsettled lately and I am struggling to come to terms with so many things.

You can find yourself smiling through most of if, but other days it hovers like a dark cloud. Where to go from here?

Then there are the females I have supported from time who jump on their bandwagon, never giving a damn before but who see you supporting them and then act as if they always supported when really it was..who are you again, just a few months back.

Then everyone and their dog are writers, editors. I have began to think that it is a joke. That I just one day woke up and I was a writer because it seems that that is the impression of others. I am so tired of the mocking of a serious craft.

Things are seriously going to change, I am seriously going to change because to be honest being nice, as genuine as it has always been has not done me any good.

You live to learn.

One must ask, why can there not be more than 24 hours in a day? after all out of that 24, some we spend sleeping which seriously gets in the way of progress!

Progressive steps have been made though and I would like to bring to your attention exhibit B- the second promo video for my official website coming April 2011. I am very excited about my website and it feels good to actually be building one. After years of saying I was going to, the opportunity has now come my way!

I absolutely love my new promo video and it samples my #superman from In-spireLS Magazine issue 2 Fumin. He is a major talent and I think the two songs sampled really enhance the video. What do you think?

The talent within the UK music scene is phenomenal and although I cannot say I have been an early bloomer. Since featuring Grime artist Fumin in the 2nd edition of In-spireLS Magazine, he has grown from strength to strength. His official website has been up for a while but recently I had a little wander around and it is definitely a site you need to check out. It has a rather interesting blog about recent performances at 'ILUVLIVE' as well as 'Flavour Goes Live' and many more. Since I signed with my new management Pink 'N' Black Entertainment, things have become very hectic but in a good way! After I decided to start my own magazine, I was committed to hanging up my bikini and writing full time. However, after some convincing I decided to get back in the swim suit (as well as other garments) and get back into modelling again.

Last week after a 3 year gap! I revisited the famous Femelle Studios and shot once again with the talented photographer Kosher. I am blessed to live so near to the studio based in London Bridge, but I still managed to turn up over an hour late! (covers face)

The last time I did a shoot with Kosher was in 2008 after I won Miss Flavour, that was an amazing experience and it felt so good to be back there again! We shot continuously for over 8 hours and I shot 5 concepts which was pretty impressive, especially as we started later that planned! There are some images in there that are going to turn some heads but if you remember my body art shoot- (yeah the one where I am covered in head to toe yellow paint) it really won't shock any of you. Anyway, it was for the sake of art and if Kate Moss can do it...yeah you get my point!

I had so much fun and it felt really good to be back in front of a camera, since my last shoot was last year. The promotion on this video has been crazy thanks to my team and the feedback has been great! Thanks to everyone who has retweeted the link, commented the vid or simply posted comments on my FB wall! I appreciate it.

The Beauty of the 'Wonderwoman'

I absolutely love and admire so many females at the moment. I can easily name over 20 women in the entertainment industry, in business, in sport who are excelling and taking their dreams to phenomenal levels. My magazine In-spireLS has been the catalyst in all of this. At the moment, I am working on the 5th edition. Looking through all the past features within the 'Wonderwoman' section. I am so overwhelmed with admiration.

It's hard for everyone, this thing we call life, but I do feel at times, being a woman can be really tough. There is so many things you have to keep on top of. Your health, your appearance, your beauty, your home, for some, your children, your work/social life balance... the list is endless.

I have looked over my own life recently. Trying to truly establish where I fit. How do I fit and most often when do I fit it all I need to do in a day. I work a tiring and highly stressed day job. I edit two amazing magazine, I run 5 social networking sites, I have resumed study to be a style coach, I am working on launching my website, I am working on the In-spireLS shop!. The list is endless. There are sometimes though, that whilst I balance all these balls in the air, I am scared somewhere, somehow, one may full, ultimately bringing down the others.

To be honest though, the more I compile the 'Wonder Woman' section of In-spireLS, the more I recognise the beauty of what I have created, I recognise not only the wonderment of myself, but also the achievements and strengths of others.

It's these realisations, that make life.... worth living.

Using words- for healing

It's been along time since I actually wrote a blog to just express, to just share. But, if the title of this blog is anything to go by, I have come to the right place.

I am at a standstill at the moment. I don't know how to express what is wrong, but I know that at this point, not everything is right. Work life is piling on top of me, my relationships both love and friendships are strained and I, for the first time, have no idea how to fix it.

See, I believed I held all the answers. I am a clever woman, so I always figure things out. I am the epitome of having a positive attitude and most of the time, I have.

I have just been feeling unlike myself recently, I feel like I cannot trust anyone, I feel desolate and apart from my thoughts, I feel alone. I have come to realise though, that coming to terms with feeling this way is not failure, but instead actually shows a sign of strength.

I recognise that I am unhappy, and though I feel love, I am not in love with every part of my life. I expect too much sometimes from individuals who care too little and I express my passions in such a way that in the long term, they can be detrimental to me.

I am working on a multitude of projects, all colourful and inspiring, yet somewhere I still feel like I am not enough, like I am not doing enough. It is horrible, how distorted your thoughts can become when you are left alone or at one with them.

I broke down today, with only two people present to really bare the brunt of it. It was embarrassing for a brief moment, but then a sense of relief came and I knew that I was holding in too much. My chest felt weighed down by the pressure and actually laying everything on the table, I realised that I wasn't being over dramatic, something I told myself I was being for a while.

I have taken time to look over things, to peruse over the fine lines, to look at what needs fixing. I understand that I can change things, but most importantly I realise that I don't need to look for anyone to help or encourage me to do it. I can get there on my own.

I hurt someone close to me, they haven't said, but I know I have. The truth is, I wanted them to be the 'supermen' that I write of, the men who can be, do and make things better for you. I have instead come across men who lie, scheme and re-sight lines because they are in that line of business. I give too much of myself away, only to be burned in the process.

I own that person an apology, yet I do feel they would have been better if they had paid more attention, if they listened to the woman who loved them.

So much to break down and digest but I know that decisions have to be made, and once they have been made, there is no looking back.

So here it goes....

My magazine http://www.in-spirelsmagazine.co.uk were invited to cover the Natalie Leonna Event 'Stand4Something' - not only was it a major success but also made me realise just how far my magazine has come in just 3 months.

Keep an eye out for my team and I as we document the entire event and share all the inspirational activities with you. I am really thankful to be asked to participate in this woman's movement.

This event really made me think about doing my own event with my team and affiliates to expand on our brand of positivity. My mind has been on it for hours and although, I am riddled with FLU- the mind is on a major thought trail. I had some major talks with Anthea- a member of #teaminspire and I feel that in the next few months, things are going to get even more interesting.

I also started thinking about what my manager Katie said about having a website launch party! I have even drawn up a list of 'dream' performers. Now I know I am all for FEMALE EMPOWERMENT, and therefore should really want to have more FEMALE performers but my line up in predominately MALE- so bite me :)

If I had all of the performers listed below perform at my bash! oh my Jesus- I would be the happiest woman in the world. Question is, can we make it happen? I guess only time will tell!

This year, the goal was to ensure that I write more blogs. It has started very well. Though for some reason, I can't help but start writing at night when i'm very tired and my grammar is intolerable.

It is only 6 days into the new year but the new year has started off wonderfully. So far, with the help of my amazing PR and Personal Management team, Pink and Black Entertainment, I can happily confirm that I am OFFICIALLY sponsored by SLEEK hair.

I am so excited - to say the least. The concepts for my photoshoot, which is happening on 16th January 2011 is going to be amazing.

On the 4th of January, Katie PinknBlack and I were invited to promote our companies- mine- http://www.in-spirelsmagazine.co.uk and Katie- and her great PR and managment company http://www.pinkandblackevents.com -on youth radio station REPREZENT. Situated within South London, Reprezent is an amazing radio station run and hosted by young people.

Our host was DJ Marxsi. This gem is talented beyond measure and is definitely my 12 Watch. She was brilliant on the decks and it was a pleasure to be given the opportunity to share what I am building with a young audience.

I would love to share the interview with all of you- it gives a deeper insight into what my vision is for my magazine and I would say that like a book is a good read, it is a good listen!!

New Year- New Ventures- Happy 2011

It has been more than a while. Firstly, I want to wish all of you a happy new year. Well, what can I say, 2010 was an eventful year and it was made up of experiences that were the best and worst of my life but one thing I know for sure is that the experiences that I had shaped me, and now I am the BEST version of myself than I have ever been and I am thankful for every part of it.

Where was you as the count down was going on NEW YEAR'S EVE? I was with my family, watching a film and quietly planning, planning for what was to come and boy is it exciting. 2010 brought the birth of my online in-spirational magazine 'In-spireLS' - the growth and support of this magazine has been absolutely phenomenal and I want to thank each and everyone of you who has taken the time to read it.

I can honestly say that the best thing about this online source is that it is created with a sense of purpose, a sense of passion and a strong sense of vision. I am completely dedicated to growing this magazine and I am extremely excited about where it can go.

Since it's launch on 26th September 2010, the magazine has had over 7500 unique reads from countries all over the world. It is such a major feat to know that so many individuals are taking time out, and gaining inspiration and celebrating the talents of others. The happiness creating this magazine gives me really cannot be put into words.

I am blessed to have a fantastic team who all work so hard and contribute interesting and diverse articles, at a drop at a hat. My magazine also has the best PR in the form of Miss Katie PinknBlack. Not only, has she given the magazine, first class PR but I am also happy to say that she is also my personal manager and since I have had her on board, things have been moving rapidly.

So much has happened over the past few weeks. It is so hard to put into words, but the excitement is major, and that same excitement is met with an intense need to get moving. Which probably explains why I'm up typing a blog at 01:52am. I am sure you can all relate to this. That feeling when you are so overridden with excitement, that your mind and thoughts wonder... well yeah, I'm feeling like that, and I must say the feeling is great.

I am pleased to announce that with the growth of In-spireLS comes affiliations. I am now working along side www.betterdaysmagazine.com.

Created by Lifecoach,inspirational speaker, musician and best selling author- Steven Whyte. It is hard for me to comprehend that the guy who I learned lines with at college, or went to the shop with between class, is now this amazing Entrepreneur, inspiring hundreds of thousands across the world. Yet, at the same time, I wouldn't expect anything less. Together, our magazines are going to grow together and take our brand of positivity to even larger scales.

Steven has always celebrated me and my achievements and nothing inspires me more that the circle that I now have around me who support everything I do. I was stunned to find out that Steven had given me my own spread within the magazine, but knowing him, I really couldn't expect anything less. What do you think?

So I stopped modelling for a while because in truth, I wanted to have more strings to my bow, I wanted to show what else I can do and in 2010, not only did I start my own magazine, but I was also given the role as 'EDITOR' for one of the best men's lifestyle magazine online that goes by the name of.......

Today when I was at work I was talking to @brooklynflyer- contributor to my in-spirational magazine www.in-spirelsmagazine.co.uk - we were talking about the art nude shoot I did last year which was a major head turner and got loads of people talking.

Then all of a sudden the photgrapher sent me an email saying that he had re-modelled one of the original photos for 2010!!

I absolutely loved doing this shoot and being nude meant nothing- I mean we came into this world naked-right??? :)

Friends, it has really been along time- if you know me, you will know that I have been really busy promoting my online magazine- www.in-spirelsmagazine.co.uk and if you have read it- I want to personally say thank you to you for becoming apart of the positive movement that motivates me each day.

Music is the one thing that can change or enhance your mood. Help make you happy, or suddenly make you sad. The power it can have over our emotions is tremendous, which is why, it is vital that you try to at all times to play music that will motivate you and drive you as you make your way through the day. I am not impressed by your make up -You’re make up is a mask

Why do you long to cover up and powder up your scars.

Don’t you see your scars are only defining who you are.

But with makeup, you’re making up your scars that make your past.

If adolescence is a race ladies are running it too fast.

Only for their spirits to be de-fragmented and broken like it's glass.

Coz they are not judged by their content but the shaping of their arse.

And the reality of who they are rarely comes to pass.

The glass ceiling’s cracked so my sister keep it cracking,

Coz without the ability to be yourself you make up is simply lacking.

You think that your lacking only because you lack kings.

So in your attempt to fill the void recognize you're simply latching.

To something to someone but nothing quite like you .

Your make up is making up illusions quite like you.

But this make up may look like but isn’t quite like you.

And if something seems the same but behaves different to you.

Chances are or chances is it’s probably not you.

I'm Back!!!

Hello everybody and thanks for stopping by on my blog!! it has been absolutely so long since I actually wrote a blog! I have been so busy and I have been working on a number of projects. I never seem to stay on one thing long enough. Maybe it's because I get so excited and my brain gets continually inundated with new and exciting things that I can do.

So as you all know, I was and still am training to be a Personal Trainer, it took a back seat temporarily as one day while editing for another magazine it suddenly dawned on me that I really wanted my own official outlet, outside of blogger. A space for my writing, owned and controlled by me.

Writing is something I could easily, if given the opportunity, do all day. So it made sense. Why don't I just start my own magazine.

In-spire Lifestyles began as my mother and I wanting to in-spire women through exercise. My mum already had a diploma in Life Coaching- so it would be an outlet to share words or encouragement to others. I always want to enhance the lives of others and help them to recognise their potential so it really made sense.

Yet, it dawned on me. I could take it further and create my own written space. A space where I could write articles on lifestyle- incorporating fashion, beauty, fitness, nutrition, gadgets, career and most importantly with individuals who are striving for the best and working hard on their chosen career path.

It was exciting but I knew I couldn't build it myself so I drafted in the help of my friend- Web Designer Shannon Walters. He is an excellent web designer and he helped create me a wordpress format which I could use to upload my articles.

I then posted up a bulletin asking for writers and found two fantastic contributors whose writers are on point!
With the help of my mother, friends Latoya Henry, Adeola Abba and Asma Ashimi! In-spirels Magazine was born.

It is launching this month and to say I am excited is really an understatement.

I have been working non-stop on it all day everyday. On top of this I am re-launching my costume jewellery online store and linking it to the magazine- I like to call it clever promotion. I have invested in some really hot costume pieces and I feel the woman that reads my magazine, would also suits the costume pieces that in-spire sell.

Everyday I am so tired because my day job is extremely stressful as a career advisor and after a day doing that, coming home and working on the jewellery and magazine can sometimes be extremely hard! But, I am realising more an more each day that writing is my number one passion and even though I love modelling and drama, this is something that I must do now

I am very excited about both of my ventures but now the exercise bug is calling again so I need to get back on track once the magazine and store launch again

I have been a social butterfly recently and have been going out alot! Which means that I am hardly sleeping. Two weeks ago, I went to Mr Aaron Fontaines's 22nd Birthday bash. If you don't know who he is then you really need to get to know. Actor and Model, Aaron is carving out a serious career in acting and is currently touring the play "Do You Know Where Your Daughter Is? in Edinburgh.

I am not often keen on birthday bashes but I needed a break away from the PC and this seemed like a good way to get away from it. I went with my sidekick and great friend LaToya Henry aka-Kim Kadashian and we seriously painted the town red

Also, on Thursday night I attended Flavour Magazines event "Flavour Goes Live" As most of you know, after winning Miss Flavour in 2008, I have remained close with both Annika, the creator and Editor of the Magazine and with Leonard! I absolutely love everything they are doing with Flavour and it is growing from strength to strength. I had a wicked night and performances from Bianca Simmone- with her debut single 'Pressure' and Mclean performing his top 20 smash hits was indeed a major highlight. He was very sweet and approachable and I even got his BB pin! For professional reasons of course!

I love going out but even with a wardrobe full of clothes, I still struggle to put something together! I wasn't sure what to wear to the event but in the end, Kourteney and Kim brushed up pretty well if I do say so myself!
Also BIG SHOUT OUT to my man ARTCHA- ever since I wrote the review "Therapy Sessions" he has got better and better as an artist. He is also a wicked presenter and was a great host for Flavour Goes Live

For my magazine I have written a review on the open mic night for up and coming talent- ILUVLIVE. I was invited down to watch the amazing band Divine Unity perform and I am looking forward to sharing the review of them with all of you

Even though, I went to review the amazing trio. I also has the pleasure of watching the band "Nu Brand Flexx" Now I know they are not new and have been around for a while. But I absolutely, absolutely love these guys. They played three songs in total, but it was there song "Runway" that got me moving. It is completely infectious and since I heard it on the night, I haven't stopped playing it! If you haven't seen it or heard it, tell me these guys are hot. I need to interview them for my mag! and then I can get the to do an acapella,whilst I strike a POSE and VOGUE

Well, friends my blog is nearly @ 5000 hits! thanks to everyone who stops by and reads it. This definately is my outlet and now I am moving onto new paths I want to keep on writing and sharing and I hope you all continue to support :)

Well, I joined forces with my mother to create In-spire Lifestyles- a place for women who want to be, do and have more. We have costume jewellery, hand selected for how expensive they look and to stand for what an in-spire lifestyle woman would wear.

Things are slow, but I have never believed it would be easy, after all, getting women to support other women, can be pretty difficult. However, I am confident that soon In-spire Lifestyles will continue to bloom and attract an army of women who support one another's efforts.

It was bound to happen, after getting to know Ms Leigh, I bring to you her PR manager and major player within the Urban industry, Miss Katie PinknBlack. When it comes to striving for the best, Katie is not a stranger to hard work and is wholely committed to being a driving force behind pushing the Urban entertainment industry into the mainstream. She is indeed a one woman machine and is ready to build and expand on her empire, but the question is are we really ready? Read on to find out more.....

I know you work in an office by day, how do you manage your workload and transcend into a business woman?

I work for a great company who know all about Pink 'N' Black Entertainment and they are really supportive of what I do. So, whenever I have spare time in my office I tend to do Pink 'N' Black work. I even have a white bored with my Pink 'N' Black to do list next to my desk. Unless its a rare day off LOL I keep myself in Pink 'N' Black mode always.

Why did you choose to work within the Urban industry?

For me I find that the Urban industry has a lot more talent than the commercial industry and a great deal of this talent is being unheard and unseen. The British Media and public need to take note on the missing talents in the UK. I hope to be involved in changing the views of the Urban Industry and getting these people recognised plus I love a challenge. In my opinion, the commercial industry would be too easy for me to work within.

You PR manage the UK's very own superstar Ms Carmen Leigh. How did you get into this line of work? and what are the pros and cons of working within model management?

When I started Pink 'N' Black Ents I was asked by one of my current acts to manage them. PR is something I have always wanted to get into so I did some research and went from there. With Carmen I invited her down to a shoot and loved the way she worked I knew that I wanted her on my books So I asked her outright and she said yes :-D. Carmen definitely raised the bar for me. Her strong work ethics and attitude is honestly every PR managers dream. She knows what she wants, when she wants it, and she strives to get it done. She keeps me on my toes, which is why we work so well together.

Pros: 1)Making things happen for people from magazine features to sponsorships its great to know your apart of their success. 2)I absolutely love Photo shoots. They are crazy and I really enjoy being involved in the whole process. It allows me to be hands on and it's a chance to get creative. Models themselves, subject to belief are very hardworking individuals that strive to be the best at their game. I actually find models easier to work with than Music Artists especially in the Urban industry.

Cons: 1)Haters. Models collect haters like an old TV collects dust. It annoys me when someone hates on Carmen because of her progression especially when they are male. I honestly find that weird. 2)The underpayment of models. Artists and clothing designers always asking people to support them by buying their albums and clothing but don't want to pay the models. I think people think Models do this for fun at the end of the day everyone wants to eat so these people need to start paying models. Changes can not be made if this type of disrespect is continually displayed. For things to improve for the better within the Urban modelling industry, "free girls" and their services should not be employed.

They indirectly prevent models from furthering themselves. If these girls stopped offering their services for free, Artists would have to then pay for their models. Thats the only way people will move forward.

What events, promotions have you been involved in? and which ones have been your favourite ones to date?

My events are "Facebook Model" "Soul funk" and I did a one off event "CEO UKs GOT TALENT" with some other people. I've promoted so many events "All About You" "Escape" "Blackberry party" "Candy Mag UK VOl3 & Vol 4 Party" "So London" "Electric Butterflies" "So Sexy" "Its a throwback" I'm sure there is some i've missed out. My favourite events have to be The Candy mag UK parties the efforts made by the Candy Mag UK team and their models are outstanding. They put out all the stops and their events are always great to attend!. Also, Facebook Model because its about pushing forward models and giving them a platform to showcase themselves. Facebook model 2010 will be coming in this summer so watch out for more details on that.

I had to do my research and I had a cheeky peek @ your formspring profile. What was disappointing was the number of negative comments left by women and men who said you are not black! as well as other unsavoury comments. How do you handle such negativity and such direct displays of what we may call 'hateration' which is heavily prevalent within the whole of the entertainment industry?

For me formspring hating is a cowards way out. If you have to hide yourself to say something about me or to me then I just don't give you any airtime or I will reply with a smart comment. As for hating in general it happens i've had all kinds of messages on facebook and Twitter if I let it phase me it will effect my work. The comments about being black etc. I've had them comments since I started working within the Urban industry so it rolls off of me like water on a ducks back. I'm colour blind when it comes to race it plays no mind in my life I don't look at yourself or Carmen and think ooo there black your just Sasha and Carmen.

What's amazing about you is how much you manage. How do you stay on top of your workload? and who else do you work with within team pinknblack to make all your projects a success?

I work alot of hours Pink 'N' Black Entertainment is a 24/7 thing for me the only time I'm not doing anything PnB is when I am sleeping I enjoy what I do so it makes it easier for me to do it. My team is currently building up again I have a PA Kim she has been with me for other a year and I am currently training Chan up for PR work I have a great inhouse photographer called Donata and I also get alot of support from a good friend of mine Charlene who will be back working with me this summer. Also the people I work with help along the success path I tend to surround myself with positive and motivated people.

You are hands on when it comes to the overall creations of all your media and promotional tools- whether it be the creation of twitter backgrounds, posters, flyers, etc. Did you go to college to study graphic design :) or are you naturally talented in this field?

Naturally talented LOL :-P I taught myself everything, it helps that I love learning new skills. When it comes to creating, I love to be apart of making something. Again, I started doing design when I started Pink 'N' Black Ents to save money lol.

What is your overall view of the Urban modelling industry?

The Urban Modelling industry has got the most talent in the UK from the photographers, models, photoshop wizards. All it lacks is the support! UK urban Models don't get enough ratings or support from within the Urban Industry and mainstream media outlets.

What is/are your mantras for success? and if you have any, who are your role models?

I don't really class myself as successful yet but I would say to be successful
is to work hard and to the best of your ability. I push myself to the limit and I never give up at any hurdles. As for role models, it would have to be My Aunty Lorie and Uncle Martyn they are two of the most amazing people I know. If I am half the person they are when I reach a more mature age, then I will know that I am successful.

You have worked with the team behind the urban eye candy publication CandymagUK. There are many other urban publications like this including icandy-mag, Juice, UKChoc and Inbox Magazine to name but a few. Do you think that UK glamour publications can compete with its US counterparts?

Candy Magazine UK has everything and more to offer the UK and beyond from an outsiders point of view I would say that the standard of Model to the presentation of the Magazine is more than enough to compete with The USA! if not more .
For me the USA are just setting standards the UK have got the ability to break these standards and raise the bar. It comes down to supporting our own! If all of these publications continue to push themselves forward anything is possible.

You mentioned that you are joining forces with 'Fly Force Clothing' to bring the Urban entertainment industry into the foreground by creating Urban Media Network Awards and Magazine. How important are these ventures to you and why do you feel they will help transform the urban circuit for the better?

Its very important that people find ways to push forward the Urban industry Jay Force and I are both hoping that with the awards and magazine it will open more doors for people and its a great way for individuals to showcase and plug themselves. What UK artists whether they be Models, Designers, Actors etc do you respect and admire who are heavily involved within the urban industry?

Jay force for sure I have so much respect for this guy he is 21 years old and the way he pushes himself and works is amazing. To accomplish what he has in such a short period of time is amazing. Alot of people should take note of this guy. I also heavily rate Femelle/Candy UK C.E.Os Kosher and Teresa. The way they push forward Urban models, their work ethic and their continuous support is very rare within the Urban industry.

Models would have to be Sashia Summers, Yourself, Demented, Mercy Prestige.
Carmen Leigh has to be here I admire her work ethics and the way she continues to push and fight for everything. When you work with someone on a PR front you see both the ups and downs this girl just continues through it she keeps me motivated.

Stormparties team. What a great team! They are DJs, Hosts, Photographers their whole movement is refreshing to see and watch grow.There are loads of other people I respect. Overall I respect anyone that puts themselves out there and keeps the industry moving :-)

It is only a matter of time before you takeover all things Urban. Do you aim to in time crossover into the mainstream and to make your mark within the commercial industry which is indeed more lucrative?

I am very passionate about the Urban industry so really I only intend to cross over to mainstream when the time is right for one of my acts. Once that happens I think I will work both industries. As a PR manager it will be beneficial to whoever I am working with for me to have a network within both industries as it opens more doors for them to be successful.

Where do you see the PinknBlack brand in the next 5 years?

In the next 5 years I want the brand to reach its peak I want to expand the brand all over the UK and eventually stateside and Europe I also intend to make a catalogue of people reach major successes. It would be good to see at least one of my acts on the GMTV sofa lol! Anything is possible if you work hard enough.

I enjoy inspiring and promoting positive self image. It took me a while to get here, but when I did, my sense of self could not be diminished. You realise you are confident, when you can eat on your own, go out for a walk on your own and spend as much time with yourself as possible.

Sometimes you can get slightly caught up in society and what being 'normal' is. I remember a few years ago, I watched a programme about unruly teenagers and what supposedly made us tick. Now, I have never ever liked these type of programmes, as they tend to put all young people in a box and suggest that they all want, do and behave in the same way!

One part that will always standout to me is when a psychologist made the damning comment that young people who swore, spat, cursed their parents, gained ASBO's, acted unruly and blamed their hormones for their madness were all NORMAL. Whereas, teenagers who did not do any of these things- Young people who studied, and didn't take drugs, didn't sleep around and lived a reasonably clean life were NOT NORMAL.

SO just so you read it correctly- Those teenagers who swore, fought, and behaved in anti-social ways, and took drugs and drank excessively and had sex with everyone but their neightbours dog! were NORMAL.

Now for a long time, I couldn't quite comprehend what this so-called expert was saying. It was a very un-nerving claim, especially hearing it from a person with such influence. It was indeed a damning comment. Is it any wonder that so many young people watch television and develop life long complexes because they are told that they do not fit or belong?

This is why it is so important to develop a strong self image. Being comfortable in your own skin is essential if you truly want to survive in this dog eat dog world. You will be continually sold an ideal- one that will dictate to you how you should look, how long your hair should be, how tall you can be until your considered grotesque, how short you can be until you are considered stubby! It sounds silly, but unless you work on your confidence and fine tune what your values are and what you will stand for. You will fall prey to the ideals and beliefs of others.

Have you decided what you will stand for? Do you know what makes you unique? and not in a physical sense either. Have you established what your passions are? Have you taken time to find out who the REAL you really is?

Life is not easy, but it is a whole lot more do-able when you stand in the mirror and get to know the woman, man or child looking back at you. When you love and respect and welcome yourself with open arms, the world has no other chance but to open up and allow you in also.

It is absolutely okay to be you, and if you don't think you are important. Re-read this blog until you do.

Yes, my friends, time indeed waits for no-one and it is not in your best interest to sit on your laurels and hope that things improve.

The word hope is an inadequate word, it suggests that things may not happen, and leaves the door open for self doubt. I hope to win that race! I hope to get that job! I hope I get that promotion!. These are indeed affirmations that will set you on the road to failure.

Now, I don't profess to have it all in the bag. Indeed, I am a working progress. Yet, I can say with true conviction, that since, I began acknowledging my successes and focusing on what I have achieved, I have become a happier and more fulfilled woman. I am now more comfortable in my skin, than I have ever felt before and this is soley down to thinking positively, surrounding myself with people who truly like me, truly love me and evidently want the best for me.

I love seeing the progress of others. Most of us, have not been born with a silver spoon in our mouths, everything we achieve has been a result of sheer blood, sweat and a whole lot of tears!

But, does this not make success more sweeter?. When you know that every step, whether it be small or big is something that has been achieved by you. I smile when I look at my peers and all that they have achieved because life is one of the hardest things we have to do, but what would make it impossible is if we adopted a defeatest attitude.

Things were not supposed to be easy, but then again, would we gain any buzz at all if it was? I know for sure that I can say to myself that I am doing my best and I will reach my goal. Everything I need to be great is within me.

This is my message to you- do not compare yourself to others- you are more amazing and unique than you have ever dreamed possible. You possess the power within yourself to make your life renewed. Take pleasure from the achievements of others, for your path is different and the outcome will be a positive one.

With every new day, comes new opportunity, and new lessons to be learned. Tomorrow, I ask that you seize the day, that you remember that you are capable of anything and everything that you want to achieve. Most importantly, I want you to recognise that IF YOU WANT SOMETHING- YOU HAVE TO GO AND GET IT!

The clock starts now- but it is you that sets the pace.

Mental Evaluation?

So I haven't blogged for a while. It's been rather impossible to. In between fighting the demons that call itself the flu, and the constant bouts that I keep getting. I have also been fighting the negative thoughts that I grinded there way into my subconcious. It's my birthday tomorrow, and normally I am very excited about my birthday. In fact, I sit down with a pad and pen and jot down what I want as a present and who I want it from. But, this years been drastically different. I am turning the BIG 25! and it has upset me more than I realised.

I hate the fact that I may sound shallow, but they are genuine insecurities, which I have allowed to rise up to the surface. A few weeks ago, I got offered a really cool modelling opportunity, and I was able to make myself available, I was the right frame, stature, the right look. Well it seemed like I ticked all the right boxes. However, once they discovered that my the time the shoot came round, I would be 25 they actually said that they were looking for a younger model.

I like to think that I am strong, and over the years I have taken my fair share of rejection. But, this hit hard! I am normally a bag of positivity and I genuinely enjoy passing that positive energy and encouragement to others. Yet, this played on my mind. All of a sudden I allowed one persons views to distort my own and I was looking in the mirror and asking whether I looked 25!

But the crazy thing is, what does 25 look like. I look young, even when I try to buy cigarettes for my mum, I get asked for I.D! What is the difference between the Sasha who is 24 on Friday 16th April 2010-to the 25 year old I will be on the Saturday 17th April. The whole incident, just made me question my entire path. I mean I look at the industry and I see raw talent, true potential. But,I struggle to market myself because I have always seen myself as a fitness model, due to the fact that I work everyday and have a toned physique. Yet, after approaching around 1000 agencies for fitness related modelling and being told I am not their 'type', it can all get a little confusing.

I mean, there was a time when I was convinced that I should build a website. To me it seemed like a natural progression, the next step, so to speak. But, then the issue is the content. I already established that I would put articles written by me, and nice pictures, but then what else. Nothing is worse than having a website, where the content is not updated enough. It runs the risk of becoming old and stagnant and I would want mine to remain in date and constantly updated with new info.

Then its the images. Now, I have never been one to do pictures with my backside in the air, or my hand down my crotch. I just cannot do it, and whilst I have no issue with those models who do, I can't see myself in those poses. Yet, its those same images that DO gain responses and increased views. So, that's the main dilemma.

I also at one point thought, that management was the way. However, in all honesty I have lost count on the people who say they will manage me, but do not. Then there are all the short films I have been involved in, that have strong casts, yet still happen to fall on their face.

So, yes there was a brief period when I felt like I should walk away. But, that time has passed, because I am never one to take defeat and I feel that with all this, I am just being tested. I have many strings to my bow and I feel that soon I will strike the right cord!

So when I said I was quitting Modelling- the truth is I am only quitting the association I have with it. I am no longer going to bog myself down, nor will I compare my successes with those of others. I feel like at last. I can appreciate all I have accomplished, and I feel that I am going to be a fantastic 25,26 and 27 year old, and never again will I allow the negative stigmas to knock myself belief or take me off my path.

So thankyou to everyone who messaged me, stating their concerns.

Recently guys, I have been ill. All the time. I eat well, I drink water, take vitamins-you name it but I am still poorly. I got rid of my flu two months back and now two months later it's back. WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH ME!!!

I swear, I am not one of those people who enjoy being ill! I don't enjoy the pity that goes with it either. It's just not me. I like to be able to be productive and forward thinking. Yet, the past few weeks, I have been rolled into a ball, under the duvet and praying for the end!

I'm 24 but I feel like i'm 74! I mean how can this be!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am divising a juicing plan. I am going to make some serious concoctions and I will tell you now I am going to end this problem- once and for all.

What does it mean to be Black

This is the question that I have asked myself for years. It seems crazy right, but one incident that happened many years ago, plays over in my head and now it's time to lay it on the table, address it and let it go.

I have always lived in South London, in an area that has been deemed a ghetto. I guess it it, yet I have never felt the need to become a product of my environment. I have never been street, nor spoken in slang. This really is not who I am or would ever choose to be.

Yet, because of my differences, when I was younger. I was often told that I was not black enough. I loved all music, hip-hop, bashment,rock and pop. But, because I loved pop music too, I was not black enough.

Then the major issue came. I dated a light skinned black man. To some people, this meant that I didn't like dark skinned men, and dated a light skinned man to get as near enough to white as possible!

This may sound so stupid,but believe me- it is all true. I was called coconut for dating a man who was shades lighter than myself.

For so long, I had to answer to the so-called 'friends' who felt powerful when they put me down. For such a long time, I allowed them to dictate to me who, what and how I was as a person. However, now, I no longer do this. I am a proud black woman, who is dating a proud black man. The point is, even if I wanted to date a white man- why would that mean I was not black enough.

Having to answer to your race is a burden to much. A person should not have to carry their race on their shoulders.

I am a proud, black woman. Who speaks correctly and likes pop music.

It really is that simple.

I am so happy right now because if I be honest I have been emotionally stretched recently. I have been trying to manage so many things at once that I feel like sometimes I feel like I may collaspe under the strain. Yet, I have come out on top, I am a survivor and I am always beating down the obstacles that get in my way, and believe me there are many.

I have recently got involved in an acting project recently. It felt like it would be the best way to start the new year as I had pretty much hiberated and completely come away from the urban modelling/entertainment scene.

The truth is I didn't really see a point. I felt like I wasn't being recognised for the difference that I offer. Yet, I realised over time that you have to MAKE people realise that you are a force to be reckoned with!

2010 has started off pretty well indeed. I cannot say too much about the acting but all I do know is that it is amazing to be back in, doing what I love and honing my skills. As well as the acting, I am enjoying studying for a Diploma in Sports Nutrition, Personal Training and Image Consultancy! Its a major feat, but I feel like it is when you are young that you should do as much as possible and really fulfil your potential.

I recently did a shoot with Karl Lake- Set Photography. I really wanted to take pictures that showed me at my best and I really feel that that was achieved. In the week I shot with Karl I did two more shoots. It felt really good to be back in front of a camera and I feel that the images I took were if I say so myself- pure class!

I really have taken the time to pat myself on the back and recognise what I have achieved (with lil help) from many on my own terms. It's vital that you reading this takes time to recognise and value all of the little things you do to improve or enhance your life.

Greetings everyone and happy new year to you. Now I know I am seriously late but I have been extremely busy!! Where to start, where to start. Well, as I am sure you know I work full time and I am the lead in my role. It's so stressful at times but I feel like I have accomplished something when I leave the office and head home to work on my other ventures.

What are these other ventures you ask?

Firstly, to those of you who don't know- I am actively training to become a Exercise Instructor, Image Consultant and on top of that open my own online jewellery shop!! It's taking a while doing all these things, but in order to achieve what you want in life you need to put 110% in.

Yes, it those get tiring at times, but when has life ever been easy, and if it was, would we prefer it that way!

My business is called "In-spire Lifestyles" and it is a venture that I am building up with my mother. Nothing feels better than working with your mum, because you know you can throw ideas off of her and she will give positive feedback. There are so many different elements to cover and it's painstakingly long. Yet, I get a major buzz, when I sit down round my desk after a long day and do homework. It still has a major way to come. However, I will be launching a second blog- bizarelly called????

Yep, you guessed right- "In-spire Lifestyles" Within this blog you will get healthy recipes for smoothies and low fat meals, key exercise moves, fashion tips and positive words of wisdom. Som if you are a person, who believes in positivity and wants to emerse themselves in a blogspot that will benefit and enlighten you. Please check it out when I post it up- will keep you posted.

Today I did a shoot with Karl Lake- owner of Set Photography. We worked together two years previously so believe me it was long time coming. As I guessed it, I was pretty slow to warm up. It had been AGES since my last shoot and believe me, when you don't get practice, you get a tad bit rusty. Karl is a dynamic photographer though and the best thing about him is that he makes you feel comfortable. He also encourages which is a major help. Having a brief look @ the images that he tool during the shoot. I am excited about the end result. I did manage to get a few pictures taken for me by my personaly stylist/assistant Simone. She has been such an amazing support system to me so far and most importantly she believes in my abilities. I thought that as it was 2010 and I hadn't done a shoot in a long time, to keep busy. So I have another one booked on tuesday and then another one on friday. Believe me, by then- I will be back in my element. Until then- here'a few images taken of me by my stylist- hope you like.

This year has been crazy. I have learned so much about myself and I feel that I am at my most confident. I am soon to be 25!! and it feels so good to finally know what I want and most importantly knowing how I am going to go about attaining it.

This year, I have also shunned the so called friends, who have backstabbed me and only used me for what I can give to them. To everyone who reads this- make 2010 your year. Do not let anyone tell you how to live your life. Follow your dreams and stay true to yourself. 2010 feels so good and it hasn't even started yet.

Busy Bee!

I have to tell you, it is so hard managing a personal life, a full time office jobs, and trying to forge a career in the entertainment world. But, if the truth be told, i'm doing it and i'm doing it well!

At the Miss Flavour 09 final I had the pleasure of meeting a man who has a successful and lasting career in Media and Broadcasting. He told me he liked my confidence, admired my braun and if I was interested in what he had to offer, I should call.

I wasn't really sure what to make of him, I had had individuals coming up to me and saying this time and time again. But, this time something was definately different. So the next day I called him.

Since then, we have been heavily networking and I have had my eyes opened to a whole new world, one with diversity and options. I have been updating my CV, developing an eating plan and making steps towards a bigger and better future.

I know it sounds cliche but I really had been getting caught up in my office job- and a very demanding one at that. I was losing sight of what I really wanted and if the truth be told- never should you push your true passions aside. So now I am in fully in work mode!

I have been networking heavily recently, mixing with people from differnt backgrounds and social standings. Immersing yourself with people from all walks of life really does shape your being.

Last week I attended a exhibition of fine art and photography at a location called the Mosaic Rooms- near Earls Courst. I also came across the amazing jewellery of a designer called Silvana Fernandes. All of her jewellery was made by hand and they were absolutely one off pieces. I walked around the display, feeling all of the rings and necklaces and I for many minutes dreamt of being rich. I wished that I could buy all of the jewellery on display. Women circulated the table like pihrana's. I guess it's because there is something so special about getting one off pieces because you then know, no-one else has it, and really- what is better than that!

It really does help to make friends at these type of events as I was able to get a discount on the most beautiful necklace and I later on receive earrings to match. Lucky me x

After leaving Mosaic Rooms, I was walking down the street with a friend when we came across a new bar/club called Miss Q. The overall decor of the bar was - SEXY, RETRO and SASSY. There was a dancefloor, a live percussion band, snooker tables, a massive bar, comy chairs and a gallery displaying pictures of some of the most influential musicians in music history- such as....

In the room, was also a big Pin ball machine. I really do pray I become mega rich because I really want a games room. Then I would be able to have a room full of them and invite all my friends. Until then, I will settle to just pose on them instead :)

I also recently was a guest on GFM Radio (the G stands for Ghana) I have to say I was really nervous when I was asked to appear on it. I have always wanted to appear on Radio, however, when the time comes you find yourself becoming so nervous! The drive there was soooooo flamming long. There I was thinking it was five minutes away. But, to be honest I am a donut because the postcode really said it all!

When I got there I was greeted by the wonderful funny and talented KOJO- (No not the comedian) This Kojo below- here he is with moi and Vanessa- one of the hosts of the show. :)

The interview was really entertaining. Jay Ewah- the other host and overall person in charge of the the technical side asked me some really interesting and thought provoking questions. I was really amazed with the research they had done on my work so far and it really showed their professionalism.

I love it when young people work hard. All three of them are studying at University and I really commended them for doing the radio show as well and holding down full time studies. It felt great to be commended for what I have achieved so far and it was also nice to offer my pearls of positivity and wisdom to others.

Thorughout my interview we also discussed the topic of cultural relationships. It was supposed to be an open discussion- posing the question if whether it is possible to have a blissful and problematic- free relationship with someone from a different culture. However, somehow- due the the pathetic actions of one individual who called himself the "Concerned Ghanian" it instead became a war between Africans and Caribeans.

Now, let me tell you from now! I do not tolerate stupidness or ignornance. This man was trying to insinuate that ALL and I repeat ALL Jamaican people all rave and neglect our children. Now, I am sorry but every race hold certain indivduals who fail in their raising of their offspring. Since when did this become a carribean trait. I am proud of my roots and I feel that nothing will change and get better for black people if we continue to hate on each other in the way that we do. As a race, overall, our support for each other is poor and we will never truly progress until we change our limited and pointless way of thinking.

Overall, the show was a success and I want to thank everyone who listened in. It felt good to receive text messages and Facebook messages of support. You are all amazing! I will soon receive a link to the interview so if you didn't manage to hear it- I will post it up as soon as I get it.

On Tuesday night I went to the annual Screen Nation Christmas party. I was absolutely knackered that day as work has seriously taken its toll. The night was a major success however, as I did a great deal of networking and partying. I met with a number of influential individuals and collected a great amount of cards and emails.! The hard part is now following them all up- but i'm built for hard work. But, the way I see it people, Rhianna ain't Beyonce, and she ain't Alicia Keys- she's Rhianna. I do not have time for stories about tales of the occult, or the fact that she along with Jay-Z and their gang have gone to the Devil! Please people, if you believe in God or even if you don't. Giving this type of thing energy, only gives it power! I am not a believer in that madness.

So as I have mentioned in previous blogs, I work full time. Many individuals have seen this as meaning that I have given up on my dreams. But, really- I haven't. In fact, working full time is a blessing because now I can afford to do many of the things that I couldn't do before.

At work today, I was asked to speak with the Minister of Employment. I was told that it would be a quick Q & A about my role in helping young people get into employment.

To be honest, this was pretty easy. I am passionate about helping other young people, and as I am not past it myself :) I feel that I can relate well with young people and bring a great amount of insight and experience to the table.

One minute- I was stuffing my face, eating as much of the free food as possible. The next I was being carted down stairs. There were a number of news crews that were on board to film the project.

A few are..GMTV, BBC and ITV News- and from what I have been told, it will be aired on wednesday!

When you put a camera or video recorder in my area- I feel pretty much at home. So after sorting out where to place the mic, I was off. Like a formula 1 racer in fact, babbling on about the gorvernments promise to provide schemes to young people that will get them into work.

From the smiles I received after, it appeared that I had done a pretty good job! (Thumbs up)
Then I started thinking, how big and shiny will my forehead look on camera?

No seriously, I really do have a big head and recently the hair at the front of my head has been receeding due to hairdressers who really should not at any time be dressing someones head!

Well, after that release of pent up energy, I still feel that I did a pretty good job.

So people, on a wednesday- you may see me, rambling about opportunities for all! It will be defining and shining moment nonetheless!

I'm exhausted everyone- in fact I really do believe i'm on the right track to burn out. At the same time, I am happy.

Yes, it's pretty confusing. You see, when you work so hard everyday, no matter how tiring it may be. You cannot help but feel a major sense of achievement when you come home and you realise that everything you have is down to your hard work.

I work full-time. My position is very demanding. It wasn't my lifes ambition to hold this role, but I am very good at it. I work 9-5. But, when I come home I am always on the phone- discussing my website (which I am definately now going to build) or in talks with possible management (It's along story) The point is- I never stop working.

If you are not lucky enough to walk around and have a silver spoon in your mouth, you need to put you head down and work for yourself. It's important that you know deep down inside that you are doing the best that you can do.

Of course, there will be days when you feel like it's all pointless. Life does have a funny way of knocking you when you are already down. Now, I know you have all heard this before but- you need to keep trying. After all, there is only one and only ever will be one you. Make the most of this life. Enjoy the small moments, don't hold grudges, call a friend you haven't spoken to in years. Go for what you really want in life and DON'T at any cost listen to haters who may try to break you down.

I really want to be successful, but believe me- successful doesn't necessarily mean being famous. I just want stability. More than anything, I want to be able to take care of myself and not depend on anyone.

A note to you-

Do not be your worst enemy
seize the day
strive to be the best you can be

Life's too short- It really is that simple :)

Miss Flavour 09!!

Okay guys, I am a bit late! I have been really busy over the last few days do I haven't been able to write a blog on the event. My reign in my opinion went very slowly! yes- slowly. For many people- it seems that I haven't been Miss Flavour for long and that, in actual fact my reign was pretty quick. I really believe that a year is a long enough time to build contacts, make strong business connections and really sell yourself and your talents.

I found that The Flavour Team- were really helpful to me and helped me understand many sides od the business, being Miss Flavour also allowed me to draft up a list of exceptional designers, photographers, make-up artists, stylists etc. They will all be drafted in when I work on my official website in the new year, so watch this space.

So- back on track-----

I was absolutely knacked on the night and I was a little peeved as I didn't have time to go home and freshen up beforehand, as I was coming straight from work. I got to the venue after 6 and was met by a pretty sexy location. I did like the previous location for Miss Flavour, however, this one was more sophisticated and overall more professional.

I was met with a room of hot girls, of different colours, heights and weights. It was good to see that Flavour were also featuring women who have a fuller figure. I really didn't want to get in the way of the contestants. After all this was their year and ultmately their time to shine. I snuck in, quickly spoke with Leonard and Annika (Creators of Flavour Magazine) and then I quickly went to make-up.

I absolutely detest getting my make-up done. I find the ahole thing so tedious. Of course I absolutely adore the finished result but I find sitting still for short periods of time and serious draining.

Luckily, it was over pretty quickly and I was soon with Eboni- one of the most talented stylists around. She dressed me and helped line up an amazing dress by a fantastic designer called Georgie. Her clothing range "House of Georgie" is growing in its popularity and by what I saw, it was no shock to me as to why this is. I knew that the dress would be hot. Yet, I was still pleasantly surprised with the finished result. I was even more chuffed when I learned that it had been finished by Georgie the night before. I am extremely lucky. Both Eboni and Georgie worked together to give me one of the hottest creations of the night- if I do say so myself.

Backstage was absolutely crazy. I was rushing around doing interviews and giving my views on the girls this year. Over and over again I was asked if I had any favourites. Of course, in my head I was biased as I personally knew a few of the girls that entered. To be honest though, I am happy to say, that I really didn't care who won, as all of the girls deserved to win.

The contestants were so nervous and you could quite honestly cut the tension with a knife. I really did enjoy watching the girls running around nervously because it reminded me of how I felt. Girls were asking me questions and looking for advice. All I could tell them was that they should really enjoy the process, after all- they had people coming to watch them and they needed to also put on a good show for them also.

In competitions, it really is important that you keep your head up and do your best. Most importantly though, you need to believe your going to win. If you don't, then their really is no point competing. Doing the backstage interviews and talking to everyone backstage was wicked because I got to hang with Khy, Miss London, Mr Midas, Eddie Kadi and Tim Westwood. It was brilliant catching up with everyone and it also felt good that I could watch the show, rather than be in it.

The show itself was pretty good. I was a bit unsure about one of the rounds- "Strike a Pose" If I was in this years competition I am pretty sure I wouldn't win. The girls were not really posing, instead many just danced, which pretty much defeated the object. The key thing however, is that the girls who won are the ones who posed! I found the competition was much more choreographed. I am really thankful that was more flexibility when I entered.

The music performances were brilliant on the night- The UK boyband 'Khy' serious left their mark with me and I think their performance was heightened by their position on stage which was on mini podiums around the main stage.

Cherri V was also wicked. I loved her song school days and her dancers were really on point. The timing was precise and she really showed that the UK has musical talents that need to be seen and heard. Egypt finished off the night with her funky house hit " In the Morning" which got the crowd going crazy!.

I found that the show went so quickly, in fact I was pretty shocked when it came time for me to do a quick interview with Kojo on the stage. I am a very confident person and I really gave honest answers, I do hope that I did not at any point come across as cocky but I believe firmly in my abilities- in fact I believe that it is imperitive that you believe wholeheartedly in yourself. That's the most important thing.

After this it soon came time to hand over the crown and announce the winners. Melissa Lewars was the overall winner with Angelique Davis in 2nd and Xena Braggaginni who placed in third.

The prizes were bigger and better this year- apart from a Storm Watch and Lusters Hair Products. The winners also won AppleBottoms Clothing, and the overall winner got a spa break for two! now that's hot.

I really didn't take many pictures, I was too busy taking pictures and doing inteviews but heres a few more :)

Here's some food for thought.

I am a young woman who openly admits that she can be a tad sex mad at times. I am pleased to say that I am not one of those addicts who cannot go a day without it. In fact it is pretty easy to. I just find that sometimes I can develop a temper if I don't get any from my partner. Yet, as I have so many things other than that in my life to think about I really do not have the time to really obsess with it.

Yet, something I watched on television lately got me thinking....

I was watching a show on sexaholics- women who had slept with over 1000 men, many were younger than me. To them, they didn't see anything wrong with having sex with complete strangers. As long as it satisfied their sexual need, that was all that mattered.

Many of the women argued that they were enraged at being looked down upon and viewed as being loose and easy, after all- to them, men did it so why shouldn't they. Most of them also admitted to not using protection. Although, this didn't at all shock me, after all- even though we live in a period where sex and the dangers of unprotected sex can bring more than unwanted pregnancies, more and more young women are taking the risk in order to fullfil their sexual craving.

But, can we as women really, deep in hearts believe that it could truly be viewed as the same.

Now, I don't mean to get too technical here but- the female body is extremely intricate if not delicate. It is made overall to be a safe environment for a foetus. A man can have sex with a woman and simply get in the shower and wash that woman right off- am I wrong?

Yet, a woman ( if she allows the man to ejaculate) carries the sperm of a man in her body for up to five days. Now, technically speaking if this woman sleeps with 3 men in a week for example- how much of these males fluid will she be carrying around.

Of course, this doesn't count for the wise women who do use protection with strangers- yet, for those who don't. Can we really say and truly believe that the act of casual unprotected sex for men could ever really be seen as being the same for women?

Firstly, let me apologise for not blogging for a while. There has been so much going on in my personal life. Overall, the money situation should improve in a short while as I have a new job which pays much better than my last job.

I cannot stress how godd it felt to get a job that paid more during the RECESSION. After seeing both in the media and and first hand what detrimental effect having no money has, I am seriously counting my blessings.

I have been spending some quality time working on myself, clearing the debris which I have allowed to be stored in my head. I have been believing the cruel and nasty things that certain individuals have been saying about me. As a result, I have been doubting myself and my abilities to be a good friend, worker, girlfriend and human being in self.

You must NEVER let anyone have power over you, and you must never let someone else tell you that you are something you are not. I have been fighting a menta battle where I have been wanting to cut off many family members and friends and no matter how painful it is, if these people are playing a negative role in your life, then quite frankly you need to cut and move on with your life- this my friends is exactly what I am doing.

I only want people in my life that I can trust, individuals who don't chat me behind my back, friends who are genuine and have my best intentions at heart. I am so tired of being surrounding my leeches who drain the living blood out of me and leave me dry!! I have always wished that I could have a different family, I have wished that I could hand pick them, so that they possess the characteristics I have chosen for them- however, that's just a dream and then sadly, you have to wake up.

My weekend was hard, I fell out with people from my family and whereas many feel that when it comes to family the creases can be ironed out and problems can be resolved-I don't think it is likely. I feel betrayed and let down. I have accepted their lack of help and guidance in how I live my life and I have had to sit back and watch whilst they take credit for my successes. I am in a family where individuals spread lies and tell you that you get more than they do and quite frankly its Bullshit. I don't need to prove myself to these people, because I have never really needed nor wanted their approval. I do preety well and I will continue to do so.

I also never realised how many people actually read my blog- I honestly think it is because I am honest and when I write I don't hold back. As well as the interview, I have been asked to have a regular spot as an ...wait for it "Agony Aunt" I really do feel I would be good at this so watch this space...

I am battered at the moment- no I really mean it. I have the flu, my face is filled with spots and I have put on weight. I will be honest with you, it really isn't a good look. Yet, it is at these moments that I feel really happy- I am happy to be me, flaws and all. When you can look at yourself and love what you are then you can truly say you are a success. Success isn't always dependent on driving flash cars, or having fancy clothes. True success is knowing that you are amazing. Knowing that you are on your side and that when times are tough, you have your back.

I have been thinking about the new year. I have been quiet with the modelling lately. Needed to focus on other elements of my life. However, I am so suffering from withdrawral symptoms. So.... I am looking for photographers who I can shoot with in the new year. I am unsure on concepts but I want as much creativity and innovative thinking as possible!

On another note- Miss Flavour 2009 is coming closer- November 11th 2009 is the date I hand back my Tiara :( lol nah I am kidding. I have enjoyed my reign, but now it is time to hand it to a new Queen :)

Okay look I have a baby face- always have. I am 24 but I look alot younger. I started my new job today- after the emotional goodbyes I made at the school I worked at I was really anxious about starting a new position. As soon as I walked in I was stopped by security and asked who I was going to visit, because I looked so young. Help Me!! honestly, I do enjoy looking younger but I am really feeling out of my depth. Insecurities slipped through the net once more and I started doubting my abilities. I really hate feeling like this and of course it is nice to look younger than your actual age but I find, sometimes within the workplace, it can become a handicap.

I need to ask a serious question... Why is it females of your own race can be so unsupporting in the workplace? Today, every race other than black were nice to me, only two spoke directly to me, the others just ignored me. When I asked one woman a direct question, she just blanked me.
This brings me back to when I did work Experience at an Insurance Magazine in the city. There were only two black staff there and they made a point of making me feel as welcome as possible whereas, the white staff aswell as the asian were welcoming and really helped me fit in.

I am not saying this of all black women, but in my experience this has more often than none been the case. I just wish that overall we would be supporting of each other. As if being black and a woman isn't difficult enough.

I may be biased when I write this because the main subject of this interview is my brother Tyler Mason. However, I am extremely proud of his efforts as he embarks on the career trail within the Media Industry at the ripe old age of 15! I caught up with my lil bro to find out more about "It's a Wrap TV", his plans for the brand and why he became interested in Media to begin with. Hey Ty, How and why did you come up with the concept of It's a Wrap TV?

I enjoy the music industry and filming and I thought it would be a good idea. It's a Wrap TV showcases young artists and displays what they do best-whatever that talent maybe.

Who makes up the overall team and what are their particular roles?

There are a range of people in my team, first of all there is my radio team which consists of my friend Vishaal and Paso. Then there is the filming which I control and I also do the presenting too.

How do you remain so focused and dedicated at such a young age? What are your inspirations?

I remain dedicated because I enjoy doing what I do and and meeting new people. Filming and interviewing allows me to do this freely. Grime Daily inspired me to create "It's a Wrap TV" and recently I was contacted by Grime Daily and I will be filming for them as well by the end of christmas.

What made you chose Media for your chosen career path?

Purely out of enjoyment! I enjoy every aspect of the media industry whether it be photography, journalism, filming or presenting.

How did you come up with the name?

The name came about because after we finished filming, at the end of each scene, my friends would keep saying "It's a Wrap" so the name just stuck.

You have featured some of the UK's hottest talents in your short snippets. How do you create links with these individuals?

I do radio and filming for Representz in Southwark and they hook us up with celebrities for our radio show. So I use that time to film them and interview them. Also, I made some links via facebook and youtube.

What UK artist would you love to feature in up and coming features for "It's a Wrap TV"?

I would love to have artists such as Chipmunk, Bashy, and Skepta because I think they inspire alot of young MC's and I think everyone would like to see them. It would definately raise our profile and increase our popularity.

What other plans do you have for the brand in the near future?

I plan to expand in the future for instance, by october I will have "It's a Wrap" T-shirts which are currently being designed now. I will have a range of well known artist on the show and we I am also planning to release a mini dvd with Lock down records, which should be out by christmas.

Sometimes no matter how positive you are, you can't help but feel disapointed. I sometimes feel like I work so hard and I push so much and yet doors close in my face. Am I deserving of success? Will the gates separating me from the success I so longingly crave, open wide and quench that longing thirst that has been eating away at me for so long.

I sometimes don't know how much to give, how much to slave. I demand so much from myself that for a big part of it, I hardly ever congratulate myself. I never ever say well done sasha, that was good. I am so hard on myself that sometimes I feel like if I am not careful, I could subside and fall prey to my own judgement.

With every door that slams in my face, I have to know that I can open another one. I am Sasha and if I don't believe wholeheartedly and 100% in myself and my abilities, who will?

1)The way people bring their dogs onto public transport and let them have a seat! -Did they pay!
2) People who spit for the sake of it-no it doesn't look cool or make you appear physically hard- it is a very common and nasty way of spreading very life threatening diseases.
3)When your pacing down the street and some dumb person just stops (all out of no where and nearly causes you to trip and fall.
4)Stupid people who drive in first gear in front of you and then when you look closely they are chatting on their dry arse phone- and they got a cheek especially cause its not a Blackberry or I-Phone :)
5)Supermarkets always moving their produce, everytime you just learned where they were the last time you visited.
6) Old mean and I mean OLD- chatting me up on the street and calling me darling. Seriously- step away Grandad!
7)Rude losers who walk through the door your holding- and it isn't for them, then they haven't got the decency to say thank you.
8)Street traders calling me their sister- once again can I just state that I do not beg family- and neither should you.
9)individuals who cannot colour co-ordinate their clothing!
10) Shop keepers who slam your change on the counter cause they don't want to touch your hand!- like I want to touch yours-loser.

Taio Cruz =you made a big mistake!!

Look I speak from the heart. When I write I don't hold back because I don't have to and also because I don't want to!

I also want to stress that I am not RACIST but I, like many black women I know personally has always questioned why Taio Cruz does not ever have a black or a mixed raced leading lady in his videos.

I mean come on now- there are many hot women of colour in the UK and it would be nice if he as a UK Artist- highlighted the beautiful women of colour who do reside in the UK.

So you can understand why I was pretty shocked to read this statement made by CRUZ-in response to this often asked question....in PRIDE MAGAZINE

“I like to put girls in my video that I think are hot. If a really hot black girl came to a casting, she’d be in my video. I think that people even focusing on the race issue in my videos is a problem. And I would almost react by never putting black girls in my video, because I’m that type of person – rebellious. I’d be like, ‘If that’s how you’re gonna be, I’m never gonna put black girls in my videos.’”

All I can say on this subject is-

Don't think I would ever go to your casting Taio- so you (someone who is not particularly great looking himself) can tell me I am not hot. When I look at the Beyonce's, Megan Good's, Lauren London's and hell- the Sasha Shantel's of the world! I pity you cause there ARE hot women of colour in the UK who could compete with the females which are casted in your videos. Shame you won't get the chance to meet them-
loser..

Now all we have to do is eagarly wait for his record company to issue a pathetic and sorry statement apologising for upsetting the multitudes of black women who listen to his music.

Sorry but apology not accepted... I admire a "rebellious" streak but to outwardly disrespect black women in this way is beyond dispicable.

I am sure Taio's mother, aunty, cousins and the many other black female members of his family will be ever so proud of him.

I for one am never buying his music again-period. I feel he could have responded in a much more dignifiesd manner.

I love Peckham- NOT!!!

Just a quick rant- they are extremely necessary once in a while- okay so if I be completely honest, Peckham is turning more and more into a slum. It is a bloody cheek that the council allow street traders to sell t-shirts saying "I Love Peckham"

As if...

I mean what the hell! maybe at one point back in the 90's it was a nice place to live in but now, with every passing day its becoming more and more like a down town ghetto. You got the drug dealers on the corner- chatting up school girls who are about knee high and are wearing enough make-up and extensions to age them 20 years!

You have the shops with no doors- forgive me but this is friggin England 2009! Why the hell has the shops got no doors. You have the shop owners-especially the dirty meat shops throwing the rotting flesh and bloody water of their cattle in the streets- blocking the drain.

Every other shop is a nail, hair or chicken shop.

And worst of all- your hounded by WITCH DOCTERS and CON ARTIST HAIRDRESSERS.

Yes.......

You read right-con artist hair dressers. The ones who have head pieces that suggest a comb hasn't touched it-yet alone been through it for a decade. You make the mistake of walking past them with a hat on and they take it to mean that you need your hair done.

I need to achieve something- yes I am already a success. We have heard that story which I am sure all of you have heard....

The one which tells us that we are all successes because we made it- we fought thousands- AND I MEAN thousands of eggs to be fertilised by that SPECIAL sperm.-lol.

Yeah I know that- but what now. I want to be, do and have even more. I am not looking for it to be handed to me of course. I am just deeply craving that bit MORE.

I am training to be a "PERSONAL TRAINER" yep- I have let it slip but all the other ventures I am working on and who I am working with is top secret. :) It's important to never ever put all your eggs into one basket.

We have all heard that saying- "Jack of all Trades- Master of none"

Excuse my french- but to be honest that quote is shit!

I want to be master of All- Hell....Why not ;)

I just want to keep grafting and pushing and pulling and kicking and prying and forcing that door until it falls down because to be completely honest with you...When I look at myself in the mirror- I see a STAR- someone that the world should get to meet, and I really want to make my mark and leave it-permenantly imprinted in the lives and thoughts of thousands upon thousands of people.

In the past couple if days I have spoked with a few friends who are disillusioned with their life. Their young and really shouldn't be but they just feel they should have more. Be driving a better car- not living at home...

To be honest guys-if you are in that same boat- CUT THE CRAP!!!

Do not be you own worst enemy- I say this often but life has away of chewing you up and spitting you out. You have to ride the wave and make the most of you. We are all unique and we need to use everyone of our talents to create a better life for ourselves.

People, seriously keep watching-keep supporting- I am aiming to improve my lot forever- and it is my hope- God willing that I do this, helping a few people along the way.

I have had a busy few weeks. I have been busy planning my future...like most. Praying and hoping that every aspect of my life improves. God knows, I haven't been waiting for things to fall in my lap, in fact I have been seriously ploughing away.

After doing my first "nude" shoot- (may I stress that it was ARTISTIC NUDE and was extremely classy. You know when you really cannot be arsed about what people may think.

I got the usual reactions- like... "Sasha, your naked" -well duh...tell me something I don't know. I just wanted to try something different and do something that not many others would do. I am pretty pleased with my body and apart from a few flabby bits that I am basically too lazy to tone up with serious bouts of exercise, I am very comfortable in my skin.

So often I get asked the question.- what does your bf think about your modelling. Well to answer that...he has his hang-ups. What kind of hot blooded male would he be if he didn't get a tad jealous.

However, he knows that I enjoy modelling and I obviously am not going to do it for life. I am his wifey-no-one elses so I get a lil pissed when other guys go on like they would put a stop to it if I was their girl.

I AIN'T YOUR GIRL so really you needn't worry. As far as I am concerned. I am professional, I love modelling and working with different companies, who are also professional- and unlike the girls who take pictures of their naked BUTT and post it on Myspace. I actually Model and I get rewards for it. My CV is growing and growing and along with that so is my contact list.

I am 24... lets be honest- the next step is 30- so why have regrets. I am not a mother yet, I have done my 7 years of studying after school with no gaps and I have my 10 GCSE's Three Tripple Grade Distinctions in Photography, Media Prodiuction and Performing Arts aswell as a BA Honours in English Literature and Drama. I am a cleaver woman, not a dim chick and I live my life and walk to the tune of my own drum.

I have never been more confortable in my skin then I am now. How brilliant and rewarding is that.

On the following friday after doing my shoot with Nunzio I happened to do a shoot with Hott2Death!! I am really happy about this because I have always seen their CD covers and thought that I am hott enough to be on it also. So it was a pleasant surprise when I got a message from the creator of Hott2death who told me to come down.

I had an amazing time at the shoot- apart from when my BB went missing- and I was convinced it was stolen.-But my baby is back in my arms now so I can breath easy. :)

It was a long shoot, I was absolutely exhausted after and I really just wanted to go home. Here are a few behind the scenes pictures I took on my camera :)

After the busy week I really needed to chill out and spend sometime with my hubby. I still get so excited when I see him. Like Butterflies in the stomach and all sorts. After eight years the connection is stronger then ever and I am more in love then ever. We had been planning to have a picnic for the longest time-years in fact, and at last we set a date to head down to Hyde Park.

It was amazing day...and in typical Sasha style we took loads of pictures-heres a few.

I wonder what the next few days will bring.....

Just who is Snakeyman??

Well, if you don't know Snakeyman AKA Arnold Oceng is an Actor and Musician who has been blowing up the entertainment scene for some time. I absolutely love UK talent, and trust me there is a whole lot of it. When I first met Arnold @ the Sunday Show, early last year he was so down to Earth and most important humble.

If I didn't know better, I would have believed that he was not at all associated with the entertainment side at all. You may have seen him in such programmes such as...

*Holby City
*Docters
* Grange Hill
*Silent Witness

Most of you may know his face from the motion picture and award winning movie "Adulthood" Directed and Written by Noel Clarke.

But, not only is Arnold a successful Actor, he is also a talented Musician and has been making and developing beats for a number of years. Another notable fact about "Snakeyman" is that he also at the young and vibrant age of 19 won the accolade of "Best Newcomer" at the Urban Music Awards in 2006.

Arnold Oceng- is most definately an up and coming talent that we are going to see and hear more of in years to come and I am excited about what he and the up an coming youth within the UK entertainment scene are going to be involved with next.

I can't express how happy I am!!!

At one point- I had no money- was showing NO signs of getting any- I loved my job but was crippled by my spiralling overdraft!!

Of course, it made me feel a little bit better that a major chunk of England's population was plagued by the same thing. But, I still felt down.

Then I started praying!!

Now, I don't want to sound corny- but believe me when I said I prayed, I prayed!! day in day out-

In a previous blog I stated that I had got a new job, but I believed it was going to quite frankly disapear down the bog!!-very British I know...

The reference or lets say the whole entire process looked as if it was going to fall through. So long to explain but basically the people in HR were were quite frankly "incompetent" they spoke down to me as if I was stupid. They insinuated that I filled in the form incorrectly- I mean seriously......

Anyhoo..... its all cleared now and I am employed once more- my wage is also nearly 10 grand more than the one I have now. ( is it any shock I was drowning in debt!!!)

I am so relieved becuase now I can pay my debts, buy my hubz better prezzies at christmas and I can work on all the ventures I have had up my sleeve for a while. :)

Keep your eyes peeled people- I'm doing some big things- x

My new and innovative shoot with Nunzio

Well firstly...who is Nunzio???

I have been on MODELMAYHEM for a while and I was approached by a Photgrapher/Artist named Nunzio. He was working on creating Art that was both innovative and timeless. I have before this time been heavily against any type of Nudism, but when I saw his work, I was blown away.

On his website there was one image which absolutely blew me away. A woman painted head to toe in orange and white stripes, with a striking orange wig on her head. The more I stared at the picture, the harder it was to look away.

Never before had I been apart of a piece of photography/Art that was striking. Yeah, i've done bikini and beauty shots but I really wanted to test myself. I have always been confident but I knew this would be pushing the boundaries and I really needed this challenge.

The shoot was yesterday, and to say I was nervous was an understatement! excuse my language but in all honesty I was PISSING myself. When I entered into Nunzio's studio I was welcomed with amazing paintings and Photography. The colours on the canvas were amazing and I was blown away by nearly every picture.

He's extremely passionate about his work and in this industry you really need to be. I have become really passionate of late. I guess its because I am getting older. Some things are perfect such as...my mother, my family, my hubby, my cirle of friends. But, I am not where I want to be career wise and I have been ploughing away madly. I am determined though, and hearing Nunzio speak about his passions made me think deeper about my own.

I was actually airbrushed by 'the twins' identical female make-up artists and they were really good, and friendly. Which, I tell you was a major plus because getting airbrushed starkers is not for the faint hearted.

I got there at 4:10pm and the make-up took 4 hours!! OMG I felt like I was going to fall over. I was so knackered. The previous night I only had 1 hour!! just couldn't sleep in the stiffling heat. It was a nightmare. Now, here I was covered in yellow paint with a purple wig plopped on my head.

It was actually pretty enthralling. It was nice not to look 'normal' I looked more like a cartoon character or another figment of the imagination, and sometimes its nice to step out, away from the norm.

The shoot was over quicker than the make-up was!! but, I went through the most EXCRUTIATING pain ever!! my feet were in shoes that were too tight. There was even a point where I thought I was going to faint. It really was a major test of strength. There is nothing worse for a woman than wearing tight shoes. In the end, I actually physically slumped to the ground and had to get them pulled off.

The feeling of the blood running back to my feet was-WOW- just the best feeling ever. Throughout, the shoot, I was treated to a different type of music to what I would normally listen to. I got to listen to the music of the African musical legend "FELA". What an amazing talent. The beat was contageous, and fast paced. The songs seemed to flow from one to another. His music really helped the process along its way.

I am absolutely PROUD of the images- here are just a few .... Hope you appreciate them and see what I see.

See, thats what makes me smile. I like normal, but that ain't me. I like to break down the barriers and I ain't scared to break down the walls.... :)

Yes, there are the obvious reasons- we are aware of them- but something deep within me feels something isn't quite correct- there are secrets being held somewhere but I know deep down all will be revealed.

Months have passed and its still hard- Michael Jackson is dead!!! Why don't it get easier!! I still google him find out the latest because he really DID mean the world to me.

I listened to his songs at least 3-4 times a week, I was a member of his fan club for 12 years!!
